Press Contact: LPB Strikes Again!! December 7, 2000 -- Frazer, PA - Six months after acquiring Fidelipac, LPB Communications, Inc. today announced the purchase of North Wales, PA based Omnitronix, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of solid state AM and Short Wave Transmitters ranging from 500 to 100,000 Watts. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. "Combining the Omnitronix Solid State Transmitters with our expanding product line allows us to offer customers a more complete suite of products targeted to the small and mid-size radio station," said Tom Spadea, LPB President. Spadea continued, "with the addition of the Omnitronix engineering and support staff we are building an in house team that will give unmatched support and service to our worldwide customers and dealers. In addition to the best warranties in the business, customers can call and get support from an experienced engineer." Omnitronix, founded by President David L. Solt P.E., has been manufacturing the OMNI Line of AM transmitters since 1987 and the world's only solid state Short Wave Transmitter since 1997. The company was founded to fulfill the burgeoning international demand for affordable, highly reliable, solid state AM transmitters. With this in mind, the OMNI product line is built for abuse. The Solt family history of Missionary work in the harsh South American climate helped produce a product that is easy to maintain and service using world-common parts. Manufacturing, support, and research and development operations will continue out of the North Wales, PA facility until next June. Plans are currently underway to consolidate all LPB operations under one roof next summer. The Omnitronix facility and the LPB facility are both in suburban Philadelphia about 30 miles apart.
