Press Contact: LPB Buys Fidelipac; Combined Firm Boasts Over 75 Year Manufacturing History in Philadelphia Area May 12, 2000 -- Frazer, Penn.-based LPB Communications, Inc. today announced the acquisition of the Fidelipac division of Amplifonix, Inc. of Philadelphia. Fidelipac manufactures on-air analog and digital consoles, analog and digital cart machines and other products supplied to radio stations and production studios. The acquisition gives LPB new digital technology and a complimentary line of high-quality studio products. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. "Fidelipac has pioneered a digital console technology that gives LPB a two-year jump on designing a new low cost digital board," said Tom Spadea, LPB President. "The Dynamax on-air consoles will also complement our expanding console line." Spadea added that Fidelipac is a natural fit as they have "built a similar reputation to LPB for offering high quality, low cost products with great value and outstanding service." Fidelipac Operations Manager, George Kuchmas, and Sales Manager, David Strode will join the growing LPB team. "We're delighted to have George and David come aboard," said Spadea. "Their intimate understanding of the market and long-standing relationships with broadcast dealers will help LPB capture an even greater share of the radio equipment market." Spadea added that all Fidelipac operations will move this summer into the recently refurbished LPB factory in Frazer.
