LPB Opens World Headquarters

September 1, 2001 -- Conshohocken, PA -- LPB Communications, Inc., the owners of LPB, Fidelipac and Omnitronix, announced the opening of their new world headquarters in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania located about 5 miles west of Philadelphia.

"We have been anticipating this move for the past year and are really looking forward to having all of our operations under one roof," said Tom Spadea, LPB President. "From this location we will be able to service and support our worldwide customer base efficiently and cost effectively far into the future," Spadea continued.

One of the main attractions of the new building is the 1000 AMPs of available power, allowing LPB to test multiple high power transmitters at once. Only a few remaining manufacturers in the world can test multiple high powered transmitters in the same building they are assembled. The end result will be rugged and reliable products that will live up to their proven reputation. Also, building and testing audio consoles in the same factory as high-powered transmitters will yield unheard of RF immunity in existing product lines and new product designs.

"We have plans to build a world class training center in the facility to enable Broadcast Engineers from across the US and throughout the world to visit the factory", stated Jim Beissel VP of Engineering and Design. Mr. Beissel went on to explain with excitement the manufacturing, service and support synergies being created by having all of LPB under one roof. Engineers will be able to visit one location for hands on training on a full suite of broadcasting products, from high and low powered transmitters to analog and digital audio consoles.

About LPB Communications, Inc.

LPB, originally "Low Power Broadcasting," has built radio stations and manufactured equipment for more than 40 years. Since 1960, LPB has placed more than 30,000 transmission and studio products worldwide. In October 1998, Philadelphia entrepreneur Tom Spadea formed LPB Communications, Inc. and purchased LPB, Inc. The new venture has built on LPB's tradition of excellence, continuing with the design of new on-air consoles, AM and FM transmitters, automation software, the new Silent Boom Mic Arm, language translation systems and turnkey licensed and unlicensed radio stations.

In May 2000, LPB acquired broadcast equipment manufacturer Fidelipac and in December of 2000, LPB acquired AM & Short Wave Transmitter manufacturer Omnitronix. The two acquisitions have given the combined entity a full suite of products for Broadcasters, including a fully modular line of analog and digital consoles, the legendary Fidelipac studio warning lights, and solid state AM & Short Wave Transmitters ranging in power from 1kW to 100kWs.
